FRIDAY

Hands-on Mixology Class – Cocktails for a Great NYE Party

There’s still time to perfect your NYE specialty cocktail. Start with this hands-on class where you’ll craft three full-size cocktails (one will be champagne-based) and enjoy complimentary cheese and charcuterie upon arrival.

Ahead of the Belk Bowl, UVA professor Kathryn (Kay) Neeley will lead a wine tasting and lecture at the Mint Museum Uptown’s location. Free with registration.

E.T.: Movie In Concert – The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra
Ovens Auditorium | 7:30 p.m.

The whole family will love following along with the imaginative adventures of E.T. the extra-terrestrial and his new friend 10-year-old Elliott. The academy award-winning score will be performed by the Charlotte Symphony in sync with the full feature-length film.

CLT New Year’s Eve

Ring in 2019 at the Queen City’s official New Year’s Eve celebration, CLT New Year’s Eve, Presented by Ally! This annual free Charlotte tradition will include a DJ, live music, the lighting of the Queen City crown, and a huge CLT NYE fireworks display starting at midnight. This year, the fun takes place at the Levine Avenue of the Arts.
