Every year, Charlotte families gather in September for the Isabella Santos Foundation 5K, 10K & Fun Run for Kid’s Cancer.
ISF was established through Isabella’s parents to raise awareness and research funds for Neuroblastoma, and through her legacy, the ISF and supporters work to help impact other kids fighting cancer. ISF has donated over $3.5 Million to date to expand the scope of pediatric cancer research and treatment, and to fill various needs surrounding childhood cancers.
A highlight of their annual fundraising events, this year’s race is presented by Red Ventures on Saturday, September 28. It is a great way to spend a healthy morning with friends and family while making an impact on kids fighting cancer.

This year, #12 for the race, the ISF event has added a NEW BRUNCH experience provided by Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Tito’s Vodka and NoDa Brewing.
And not just ANY brunch. We aren’t talking about some donuts & coffee, or simply eggs and bacon. How does chicken and waffle sandwiches with honey hot sauce sound? How about fried green tomatoes with country ham, goat cheese and pepper jelly? Care to visit the Beignets, biscuit and pancake station anyone?
That is just a “taste” of the incredible brunch menu Firebirds Executive Chef Steve is creating. For the adults, there will also be several specialty Vodka drinks (including bloody marys of course) and beer from NoDa Brewing.
You won’t want to miss all the yummies being cooked up extra special for the morning so don’t forget to add on brunch to your registration.

Raffles, silent auction and Kids Zone with games, bouncy houses, face painting and more will be back for race day as well.Â
The Kids Zone is the ultimate fun zone to keep your kids entertained.  For the creative one, they’ll have arts, crafts and face painting galore.  Sport Fan?  That’s covered too with soccer darts, soccer shots, bounceables, climbing and more.  Older kids or gamers can take advantage of the game trucks and funnel cakes.  Of course don’t forget about your favorite mascot, princess and superheroes… no kid is too old for these photo ops.
Please NOTE: tickets for the brunch (just like race registration) will be more expensive the day of the event and you will need a brunch wristband to join the brunch area.
For those who do not want to run or walk in the event, you can just purchase brunch only tickets as well. Brunch prices:
