Oprah Winfrey will make a stop in Charlotte as part of her national arena tour, Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus. The full-day wellness event includes discussions about goal-setting, developing a 2020 action plan and appearances from other well-known guests.

Makers Mark Bourbon Tasting

Maker’s Mark Portfolio Manager Sarah Poole will lead a tasting of Marker’s Mark, Maker’s 46, limited release RC-6 and the Cask Strength Bourbon. While tasting, guests will also enjoy light bites. $45 per person.

A Sign Of The Times the Carolinas, My Sister’s House, the Charlotte Folk Society and the UNC Charlotte College of Arts + Architecture will collaborate on the 11th Annual Bridging Musical Worlds program honoring the life and works of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The concert starts at 5 p.m., held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church’s Conference Center in Charlotte’s historic Westside. This annual event also features a pre-concert “Coffee and Dessert” starting at 4 PM. Note: There’s an separate charge for the “Coffee and Dessert”.
