Cheers to 15 Years
Brock McLendon opened the doors to his store and lifelong passion Brock Moran in Charlotte on August 11, 2005 and has been helping spread and share his impeccable taste and style ever since. His story on the store, its name & more is below. Congrats Brock!
Fifteen years ago, I opened Brock Moran in Charlotte! It has been an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling journey for me. I knew from an early age that I loved beautiful things.
Prior to opening my design boutique in Charlotte, upon my mother’s retirement, I assumed ownership of her florist in Wadesboro NC. I spent a number of years there as a floral designer. Fate intervened and I met my husband John, and I moved to Charlotte to pursue my passion.
I chose to name my business Brock Moran – Brock for my name and my mother’s maiden name and Moran for my father’s first name. It was important to me to have their legacy as part of my boutique.
One of the best parts of having a small business are the relationships with clients who become members of the family. We have many loyal clients for which I am so grateful. I love interior design, working with clients to create spaces that reflect who they are and how they want to live. I do believe we are born with unique gifts and talents – it is ultimately up to us to discover them within ourselves and create a life which allows us to use them. On this momentous occasion, I know this journey would not be possible without my loving husband John who has been by my side for twenty four years, and who just retired from Wells Fargo to start the UNCC Master’s of Architecture program as a full time student.
I want for all of us a brighter future filled with love and peace.
