Snooze, now open in South End
Snooze is now open in South End. The concept’s second Charlotte location offers creative takes on breakfast fare, including the pumpkin pecan pie pancake (pictured). Guests can dine in or on the 22-seat outdoor patio. Find them at 2041 South Boulevard.
Panca Peruvian Street Food, open now
Former Hornets Chef Kyle Van Hess and his wife Candy, an experienced restauranteur, opened Panca during the COVID-19 crisis as stadiums across the country closed. Expect a variety of authentic Peruvian dishes inspired by Candy’s upbringing in Lima, including a menu of ceviches and anticuchos (meat dishes) which are are seasoned and marinated in-house, then grilled on an imported robata grill. Blue Smokehouse and Bar, now open in Fort Mill
New to Fort Mill, this locally owned and operated fast casual smokehouse serves barbecue plates, sandwiches and a la carte sides, plus a full service bar with eight local drafts. View the full menu here and find them at 1500 Fort Mill Pkwy #111, Fort Mill.
The Southern Pecan, now open in SouthPark
Make plans to dine out at The Southern Pecan, a new addition to Phillips Place in SouthPark. Expect a menu brimming with Gulf Coast cuisine classics like Louisiana BBQ shrimp, a selection of po boys, gulf oysters and a southern pecan shrimp boil, plus blues and jazz-inspired artwork and music. Link & Pin Huntersville – Open now
Link & Pin’s second location is now open in NorthCross Shopping Center in the former Mickey & Mooch building. Expect lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends. Find them at 9723 Sam Furr Road, Huntersville.
Farm Haus – Open now
On the south side of town, the newly opened Farm Haus offers guests an expansive beer garden, a meat-focused menu, outdoor games and a stage for live music. Find them at 9762 Charlotte Highway, Indian Land, SC.
Plant Joy, opening soon in Camp North End
From food delivery service Nourish Charlotte’s founder/executive chef Julia Simon and partner Erik Berns comes Plant Joy, a brick-and-mortar concept coming soon to Camp North End. The food stall, Camp North End’s fourth and final, is expected to open this month with a focus on local, organic, vegetarian and vegan dishes. Menu headliners include the Socca (chickpea crepe), Rainbow Toast (featuring loaves from Verdant Bread), locally made vegan croissants and the Falafel Stack (all the best parts of a falafel sandwich, presented nacho-style). The menu will also feature select locally sourced pastries and a Community Plate, where customers can donate funds toward a future meal for someone in need.
Sal’s Pizza Factory, opening soon in Dilworth
Exciting news, pizza lovers: Sal’s Pizza Factory is opening a second location in the heart of Dilworth. Soon, you’ll be able to get to-go, delivery and slices at 2212 Park Road (by WashHouse and Ed’s). According to their social media channels, watch out for a November opening.
Superica in Strawberry Hill, opening soon
Per their Facebook page, Superica will open their second Charlotte-area location in the SouthPark development of Strawberry Hill in November. Find them soon at 4219 Providence Road.
La Belle Helene – Closed
The Uptown favorite, which opened in 2018, has closed. Parliament Espresso & Coffee, owned by the same operating group, has also closed.
Ilios Noche Quail Corners – Closed
After eight years, Ilios Noche at Quail Corners has closed. Their location in Rea Village will remain open.
Rita’s in Plaza Midwood – Closed
Per Unpretentious Palate via Instagram, the Rita’s location in Plaza Midwood closed on Oct. 25. Be on the lookout for a new location to open in the University area in February.

Brunch is back Nov. 7 at Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen
On Nov. 7, pop-up brunch at Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen is back for pre-order, take-out only orders. Along with an apple strudel special, the breakfast menu includes a savory bowl with Anson Mills stone cut oats, rice grits and buckwheat with pumpkin and spicy maple syrup, choice of sage or tempeh sausage wilted kale and a fried egg. Extended hours and Sunday brunch at Bar Marcel
In addition to their existing Tuesday – Saturday dinner service, SouthPark’s Bar Marcel is now also open on Monday nights from 4-9 pm. Prefer a leisurely weekend brunch? Bar Marcel has re-started their Sunday brunch as of Nov. 1. Visit from 10:30 am – 3 pm to enjoy dishes from Executive Chef Joshua Oakley and Chef de Cuisine Eduardo Rios, plus a Bloody Mary bar menu.

The weekly Raclette Night at 7th St. Market is back with a few changes to keep everyone safe. Now, they’re accepting limited reservations in three seatings.
