A book (and wine) lovers’ favorite, Verse & Vino is back this fall, and it’s better than ever.
A celebration of reading, writing and the joy of libraries – shared with a community of readers and New York Times best-selling authors – Verse & Vino has become one of the region’s most anticipated events. This year, it’s part of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation’s “November to Remember,” a series of events to celebrate and support the Library.
The Verse & Vino 2021 Virtual Event:
FIVE New York Times best-selling authors will join Verse & Vino for a live-streaming event the evening of November 4, 2021. Representing a range of genres and continents, they’ll share insights about their books, their writing process, and the role of libraries.
Each of the five authors has a new book out ~ see the line up below ~ and your ticket to the event gets you your choice of one of those new reads. If that’s too hard a choice, you can always purchase a book bundle of all 5 for $150 at the ticket link 🙂
While this year’s virtual event is perfect for a small get-together for the book-lovers in your life, there is also an in-person party to attend if you’re comfortable with safe gatherings.
The Verse & Vino 2021 In Person Viewing Party:
New this year, Town Brewing Co. will host a limited ticket viewing party the evening of November 4th. Join friends as you watch Verse & Vino and taste Town Brewing’s new CommonSpark brew. Tickets to this In Person event are available here and run $150 each, including two drinks and your choice of one of the 5 featured books.
How to Celebrate Verse & Vino 2021
Local caterer Table & Twine is taking the hassle out of cooking and offering exquisitely assembled “date night boxes” or “party boxes” for the evening.
Each date night box provides dinner for two, and each party box provides enough hors d’oeuvres for ten. Both include wine, autographed book(s), the new signature CommonSpark beer (more about that below), and an assortment of branded favors.

This is a page-turner, you won’t want to put it down!
About that Beer…
Get your first sip of the CommonSpark beer. This is Charlotte after all, and it’s about time the Library has its own expertly brewed craft beer. From the team at Town Brewing Company, the CommonSpark “common ale” beer will launch at Verse & Vino 2021 and will be available for purchase at Town Brewing Co. and in local groceries throughout Charlotte. Added perk? A portion of each sale will benefit the CommonSpark campaign. Now that is something to “cheers” about.
