Did you know that tickets are available to scoop girls to spend some quality time with designer Celerie Kemble of KEMBLE Interiors at the upcoming Fall EnrichMINT Forum? While not all Auxiliary events are open to non-members, this one is, and it’s a don’t miss.
The New York designer is coming to Charlotte on Wednesday, November 17th for two speaking engagements and book signings to raise funds for the Mint. We go to this event every year, and it is always worth the time and the ticket price ~ a fabulous gathering of local design aficianadas, art supporters, and style mavens. Mimosa’s are served along with an in-depth look at the designer’s process and work.
Celerie Kemble is a Harvard grad, a mother of 3, an internationally renowned designer, and a book author. She is a New York tastemaker by way of Palm Beach, known for her candor, humor and approachable design advice. Celerie has been engaged in campaigns for J Crew and Benjamin Moore, and has created to-the-trade fabrics and wall coverings for Schumacher, lighting and home accessories with Maitland-Smith, floor tiles with Mirth, and an outdoor furniture line with Lane Venture. Celerie has designed for such properties as the Mayflower Inn, the Dominican Republic’s Playa Grande on which her new book Island Whimsy is based, and the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach.
We cannot wait to hear her presentation. You can peruse just a few pages from her book Island Whimsy below for a taste of what’s in store at the event.
Reserve your seat(s) for either the morning (9:30 to 11) or lunch time (noon to 1:30) here on the Mint Museum Auxiliary’s webpage. Tickets are $100 each and must be reserved in advance.
Just ’cause we know you’re going to ask, the attire is very Ladies Who Lunch, which is such a welcome respite from the leggings and covid-casual we’re all so sick of at this point. Put on a pretty frock and some heels, grab your girls and enjoy!
