It’s Not Too Late to Order Your Thanksgiving Sweets & Treats

Thanksgiving 2021! It’s creeping up and means a lot of shopping, cooking and cleaning. Since we’ve seen enough of the inside of our oven over the past 18 months to last a lifetime, we’re shopping around the QC for unique Charlotte sweets to enjoy this season. Here’s what we found:

Pre-Order Pies from Angelines & Do Good.

This year, Angeline’s is offering special Friendsgiving (or Thanksgiving) pies in support of No Kid Hungry, an incredible charity aiming to help end childhood hunger.

Visit this link to pre-order one of the delicious pumpkin, bourbon pecan, brown butter apple, or southern brown sugar pies for $40 each and they’ll make a $5 donation for every pie sold! Pre-order now through November 21st and pick-up on Tuesday, November 23rd or Wednesday, November 24th. So, go ahead and have another slice of pie. It’s for a good cause. 

Wentworth & Fenn Gourmet Bakery

Orders are for Wentworth & Fenn Thanksgiving pies are open now. Once they reach capacity, they’ll no longer be accepting orders. So get her done today.

W&F will also have the bakery stocked with dinner rolls, pastries, extra pies, and additional goodies for Thanksgiving. For example….

Formally the executive pastry chef for The Fig Tree Restaurant, Samantha opened Wentworth & Fenn, a unique bakery that creates wedding cakes, special event cakes and custom pastries. Samantha was named ‘Best Pastry Chef’ in Charlotte, NC for 2017, she’s traveled to New York to cook at the legendary James Beard House, and she was nominated for ‘Best Pastry Chef of the East Coast Region’-James Beard Award in 2016.

• Assorted pasties will be available to order including cream or bacon cheddar scones and cinnamon rolls ($24/half dozen).
• Entree sides will also be available to order, including baked Mac & cheese, their potato dinner rolls ($15/dozen) and fresh corn pudding
