Things to Do On Father’s Day in Charlotte This Year

There’s a LOT happening this Father’s Day weekend, with most of the fun stuff scheduled for Saturday the 18th, probably so all the dads can enjoy family time and relaxation on their big day. Still, we like to do something special for Dad on his day so we searched for fun things to do on actual Father’s Day in Charlotte this year. We’ll keep updating all week as options pop up.

Open Swim at The Quarry at Carrigan Farms, 3:45PM to SUNSET (5 hours) $5 DEPOSIT + $25 PER PERSON (CASH OR CHECK ONLY) AT THE DOOR. Reserve NOW!

Hooray for Hollywood SUMMER POPS in SouthPark by the Charlotte Symphony – 8:15 pm, tickets required, Symphony Park at SouthPark, 4400 Sharon Road. Treat Dad to a free beer with his brunch, lunch, dinner or afternoon pizza snack at 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen restaurant in Phillips Place. They’re also giving dad’s some 800 swag while supplies last, so be sure to stop by for your Dad’s Day meal!

Depending on the age of your kids, take in a performance from the Blumenthal, FROZEN at the Belk theater or CHARLOTTE SQUAWKS at the Booth Playhouse.

Game Day with Dad at Stowe Botanical Gardens – Dads get in free + first 250 Dads get a free koozie. 11am-3pm, live music on the Visitor Pavilion Terrace. Enjoy cold brews and relax in the shade, grab a bite from a food truck and enjoy yard games (weather permitting).

In addition, this month’s concert will open with a special musical duo performance by Dustin Wilkes-Kim and Drew Dansby, highlighting a contemporary piece by female composer Jessie Montgomery.
