Albertine Restaurant, Uptown – Open now

From the creators of @kindredrestaurant, @milkbreadallday, and @hellosailornc comes Albertine, named after Queen Charlotte’s mother: Elisabeth Albertine. At Albertine’s you can expect a Mediterranean menu with a Southern flair unlike much else in Charlotte.

The Accidental Baker, Oakhurst – Open now

Known for his gluten free baking concepts, the Accidental Baker in Charlotte has made quite a name for himself by creating solely gluten free baked goods using only organic ingredients. The space will be an open kitchen concept for customers to pick up their online orders and where future pop up events will be held. 

Sweetgreen, Uptown – Open now

The wait for the first Sweetgreen in Charlotte is finally over. Located at the corner of Trade & Tryon in Uptown, the 2,500 SF space is the first of this uber popular chain to open in North Carolina.

Must Be Nice, South End – Open Now

The conversion of Lost & Found in South End into its new format happened in late September bringing the space a “more lounge-y” atmosphere ~ more seating, less dance floor, more cocktail bar, less sports bar. With a new outdoor bar added to an enclosed patio.

Eighty Eights Charlotte, NoDa – Open now

Expanding into a largely untapped market in Charlotte, Eightyeight’s is a new jazz lounge and bar that also offers a curated selection of coffee in the mornings. Now open in NoDa, Eightyeights will be the ideal place for those seeking a coffee haven or a jazz filled night out featuring some of Charlotte’s best blues artists.

Oshen Sushi, South Charlotte – Opening early October

From the owner of Yunta, Oshen will be opening up in the Colony Place shopping center between the Arboretum and SouthPark in early October.

Blue Door Cocktail Bar, South End, Opening Friday, 10/4

Blue Door, the newest addition to Charlotte’s vibrant SouthEnd, is set to officially open its doors on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 5 PM. Brought to you by the owners of Trio nightclub, Eric and Kate Gussin, Blue Door hopes to offer an upscale yet welcoming cocktail experience. 1508 S Mint Street.

Qahwah House, Plaza Midwood – Opening Oct. 10

Originally from Dearborn Michigan, Qahwah House is bringing their Turkish coffee and teas to Plaza Midwood, making it one of only two Yemeni coffee shops in Charlotte.

Zeppedie’s, South End – Opening Soon

Zeppedie’s Pizzeria is reopening in South End soon (finishing touches happening this week). Featuring fresh ingredient and house made dough, Zeppedie’s return will bring back their original signs along with their famously delicious pizza.

On Tuesday, October 8th, Epic Chophouse will be hosting a wine dinner paired with a night of tastings from Ken Wright Cellars. Ken Wright is known for their robust Pinot Noirs, which will be perfectly paired with the 4-course menu, including Slow Braised Pinot Noir Short Rib, Lobster & Shrimp Vietnamese Rice Paper Wraps, Goat Cheese Croquettes, and more. Charcuterie Reception at 6 pm followed by prompt dinner seating at 6:30 pm. Limited reservations are available by phone only: 704-230-1720.

Burly Wine Dinner at Napa on Providence

October 16th 6:30pm | $150pp

Napa on Providence is hosting a 5-course dinner presented by Executive Chef Brian Farrell and Hank McCrorie, owner of Burly Wines. This impressive course list will combine the best of Napa’s contemporary American dishes with Burly’s bold-natured wines, making for a delicious evening. Reserve your spot here.

Beetlejuice Pop-Up Dinner in Midland, NC

Restaurant Constance Dinner to Benefit Ben’s Friends

Thursday, October 24

The event will feature a five-course dinner, with a wine or non-alcoholic beverage pairing, curated by Diminich and Restaurant Constance General Manager Riley Ross. There are 40 seats available for the dinner, which will be followed by a live auction of items such as a private dinner for four with Diminich, bottles of wine, and more. 

Tickets to the Ben’s Friends fundraiser are $250 per person (tax and gratuity not included) and will feature communal seating at Restaurant Constance, 2200 Thrift Rd., Charlotte. Fifty percent of proceeds from the event will benefit Ben’s Friends.
