Winter Weddings present a bit more fashion challenge to us than to our dates – they’re just thrilled not to be smothering in their tux or suit for once. We want to look festive, dressy, tasteful, elegant, and celebratory while at the same time dressing warmly and appropriately for the ceremony and not overshadowing the bride. Winter Weddings tend to be more formal, and it’s often chilly as you transition from ceremony to reception and home again.  So some filmy flimsy frock usually won’t work – and even our strapless and sleeveless choices have more gravitas. While the LBD is a perennial go-to for Winter Wedding wear, creams, greys, moody blues and elegant printed silhouettes are also big this year. This is a perfect occasion for a statement necklace, major metallic accents or a maxi gown. Here’s what we found at some Charlotte boutiques this month:
