In our book there are only 3 awards shows to consider for fashion….The Golden Globes (last Sunday), The SAG Awards (this Saturday 1/18) and The Oscars (Sunday, March 2). And whether or not you’ve got a gala to go to this spring, you still want to be up on the latest celeb styles walking the Red Carpet.
Last night’s Globes did not disappoint. Here’s what we saw enough of to call a “trend:”
- Red. Not crimson or wine. Hot Fiery red.
- Black & White
- Deep V necks
- Deep Side Parts
- Nude Lips
- Natural Looking Make Up
- Sleek hair styles
Red.
The run-a-way winner of the evening was 12 Years a Slave star Lupita Nyong’o in her Ralph Lauren sleek cape dress, closely followed by Amy Adams who has clearly embraced the deep v neckline that she wore so fetchingly in American Hustle.
 Black & White
Take the Plunge. A Deep V neck and a Deep Side Part
Polished & understated beauty, with a nude lip or a natural make up and sleek, un-fussy hair.
IMO Cate Blanchett again stole best dressed of the evening, to go with her Best Actress Globe, in her black lace Armani Privé, Chopard earrings and faux bob.
And the best post Globe fun? Bryan Boy does J’Law’s Dior dress, beloved by many but torn up on instagram with white down comforter memes.
