So, what’s the deal with Rock Salt restaurant in Park Rd Shopping Center?

Where my dry cleaners used to be?  I’m ok with having to go to the Quick Cleaner’s new location but only if the restaurant replacing them is going to be on the plus side.  Right now, this is what we see when we “cut thru” which is certainly intriguing:

A quick google of ROCKSALT turned up good scoop from www.charlotterestauaranttraffic.com:

The long delayed RockSalt has finally started construction behind the  Park Road Shopping Center.  Owner Travis Croxton is turning the former dry cleaner space into a seafood eatery.  The first RockSalt opened in Charlottesville, Virginia last month.  Here is the Dinner Menu and the  Raw Bar Menu.  The building will undergo major renovations and will feature a large patio overlooking the Little Sugar Creek Greenway which runs behind it.  They are aiming for a Spring opening.

That sounds good to me! We love the dining scene in the “Hook” – DUNER’S anyone? – and fresh seafood and cold drinks on the greenway within walking distance is an excellent idea.  Can’t wait to see what else is on the horizon at the suddenly hip Park Road Shopping Center.
